STRATEGIC REVIEW MATERIAL MATTERS Material matters are defined as those that are important for achieving business goals while generating value for our stakeholders. By determining our material matters, we can develop effective policies and plans to manage our sustainability risks while capitalising on relevant opportunities. HOW WE DETERMINE OUR MATERIAL MATTERS To identify our material matters, we follow the guidelines set forth by the Bursa Malaysia’s Sustainability Reporting Guide and Global Reporting Initiative. This involved us adopting a four-step approach: identification, ranking, prioritisation and validation, as detailed below. STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 IDENTIFICATION We identified 13 material sustainability issues with sustainability-related impacts that are significant to the Group and stakeholders. These considerations encompassed global trends and are streamlined according to Bursa Malaysia’s requirements and benchmarked against industry best practices. RANKING An internal survey was utilised to rank and assess material sustainability issues affecting the Group and its stakeholders. PRIORITISATION AND GENERATION OF MATRIX Compilation and analysis of the survey results was presented in a materiality matrix, reflecting the importance of each material matter. VALIDATION AND APPROVAL The materiality matrix was reviewed by Senior Management and approved by the Board of Directors.
